Art Commissions by Kytri
Hello! I am a queer artist living in the US and would love to draw you a thing.
If you don't need any of the info here you can go straight to my Commiss.io page.
I primarily make comics and fandom illustrations. I also write a bit. I write and illustrate a Dungeons and Dragons inspired webcomic called Crypts and Cantrips. It can be found here.
Listings
Types of commissions I have on offer:"Convention Style" Sketch commissions:
These are the most similar to the "skeb" style commissions a lot of people do. They're designed to be relatively cheap and require minimal communication. Currently I will only do waist up drawings of one or two characters for these and minimal color.
Price: $30 for one character and $60 for two
Turn around time: usually under a week.

Character illustration commissions:
My standard thing. I'll draw basically any character in basically any pose or angle. I'm happy to work off descriptions for characters that do not yet have full visual designs.
Unlike the previous listing I will send you progress shots and you can request revisions once I have started work or even at the end if something is not right (though the earlier you point out an issue the easier it is to fix). You have more creative control here.
Price: $20-$40 for a headshot, $40-65 for waist up, and $50-$100 for a full body drawing
A second character or background can be added by doubling the price.
Turn around time: Usually a couple of weeks to a month, rarely more than two months. This is somewhat dependent on you since I will send progress images that need approval before I can continue work.

Miscellaneous commissions:
For more elaborate or odd requests. This could be basically anything: a full illustration, a logo, a comic page, a fancy cover sheet for something. If you don't think either of the other listings cover what you want use this one.
Price: $50 to start, my most expensive commissions usually top out around $250
Turn around time: I try to keep it under two months if at all possible. Since this is the anything goes sort of listing communication is very important and will affect completion time.

Sponsor a personal drawing:
This is mostly a joke listing. Send me some money and I will draw whatever I want, or nothing if you want me to take a day off.
Price: $5 is the minimum, you can put in anything you want
Turn around time: pretty quick I guess? Commiss.io does require me to send a file to finish a commission so I will send you whatever I draw in the next few days.

Frequently Asked Questions
People often seem confused about the process of buying a commission so I'll try to provide explanation here.
I use a website called commiss.io to take commissions. They handle payment through a credit card processor called Stripe, which is used by a lot of ecommerce platforms. They also handle messaging and file sharing so I find them extremely useful. The basic process goes as follows:
-find the listing you want and click on the button that says "Create Project"
-This will take you to a form to fill out. Here you need to give some basic contact information and describe what you want and what you're looking to pay. You can also upload reference images.
-It's good to be thorough but do not worry if you forget something, you can add more images or send more messages after the fact. We can even still change the price.
-I'll approve or reject the request. Thus far I've never rejected one. And I will send you a reply. Here we can hash out any details that are unclear.
-Once I am ready to begin work and you are ready to pay I will send you the invoice through commiss.io. No money changes hands until you choose to pay the invoice.
-I draw your commission! I may send you messages mid-process to show my progress or ask for details if I'm unsure on something. We can send messages back and forth as much as needed.
-Once the art is finished I will send you the final. I generally send a small image that's good for sharing online and a larger one that can be printed.
-If the art is good you approve it, if changes are needed you can reject it and I will make the changes and resubmit the final.
-We both rate each other 5 stars on commiss.io because we both did great.
-Oh, and you can send a tip after if you think I did really good and deserve more money.
Additional FaQ:Is there anything you won't draw? (e.g. "no furries no mecha") What about NSFW content?
I'm pretty open. I don't have the common no furs/mechs clause because I will make a good faith attempt at either. Mecha is pretty far outside my wheelhouse, but honestly I would like more practice drawing furries.
As for more adult content I'm generally comfortable with it and will take such commissions so long as I am permitted. Many payment processors ban such content but currently commiss.io does not.I'm trans or non-binary or otherwise go by a different name than what's on my credit card, will you see that information?
Commiss.io only shares the name you enter in the form to me. You will probably have to enter your legal name somewhere in order to make a payment, the same as any other credit card payment, but I will not see it.I'm not sure what details to include on the commission form.
Anything is fine. I've had people send me all sorts of things to communicate what they were wanting. I've seen a lot of piccrew avatars and photos of random accessories and the like. Anything that gets the idea across is good and if you miss something you can send more info after the fact. Why commiss.io and not paypal or Vgen or something else?
I like commiss.io since it helps me organize everything. Paypal charges higher fees and is more restrictive on content. Vgen requires an invite and I've yet to secure one. Perhaps I'll swap to them one day if I like their setup more.I have another question.
It's fine to ask! You can message me on Bluesky @kytri.bsky.social or on discord if we share a server. If we're already communicating on commiss.io you can ask there as well.
